Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of policies, reports, strategies, and program/project plans related to NDIS budgets and outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support stakeholder consultations to gather insights on factors influencing scheme effectiveness.
  • Impact Evaluation: Contribute to the conceptual development and refinement of impact/evaluation modelling for the NDIS.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare high-quality papers, briefings, reports, and other materials to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and participate in meetings and workshops with both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information from various sources.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare clear and concise reports and presentations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Quantitative and Qualitative Data: Demonstrated capacity to understand and work with quantitative and qualitative data in policy contexts.
Desirable Skills
  • Relevant Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualification in social sciences, public policy, economics, or a related field.
  • Government Experience: 2-3 years of experience working in government or government consulting roles, preferably in areas related to social policy, disability services, or program evaluation.
  • Understanding of Budget Processes: Understanding of budget processes and outcome measurements in government programs.
  • Impact Evaluation Methodologies: Familiarity with impact evaluation methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Experience in applying analytical skills to complex policy or program issues.
  • Knowledge of Current Trends: Knowledge of current trends and debates relevant to the disability sector, the NDIS, and broader social policy in Australia.
