Financial Analyst Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Woolworths Group. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing and investigating business unit P&L and associated balance sheet accounts, performing reconciliations, and ensuring financial controls are in place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and investigate business unit P&L and associated balance sheet accounts
  • Perform reconciliations with clear descriptions of outstanding items, supporting documentation, and action plans for clearance
  • Ensure financial controls are in place and reviewed regularly to comply with accounting policies and standards
  • Active participation in our Corporate Governance Program, including testing key controls and reporting on deficiencies
  • Drive initiatives and strategies for continual improvement of processes and perform User Acceptance Testing for any changes to the System Environment

Requirements

  • CA or CPA qualification, or working towards + 1 - 4 years relevant experience (retail/large corporate an advantage)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, vlookups, and macros, as well as an enthusiasm to learn new systems, including SAP, GCP, and BPC
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience, with strong presentation and storyboarding skills
  • Ability to synthesise large amounts of data from various sources
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with a lot of ambiguity and attend to shifting priorities
