  • About the Role
  • This is a two-year fixed term contract role within our Data Governance team, responsible for developing and implementing data policies, principles, and standards to optimize data capture, sharing, and use within ASIC.
  • Your Responsibilities
  • As a Data Governance Policy Specialist, you will contribute to the development of standards and policies to ensure data compliance across the organisation.
  • Develop and implement systems for monitoring compliance with data governance policies, standards, and risk management frameworks.
  • Work with the Business Analyst to document data governance practices within Registries and identify improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistency and standardisation of reference data in ASIC's Common Language Vocabulary and Taxonomy.
  • Manage data risks, conduct control testing, and prepare reports for the Risk Committee.
  • Your Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Information Management, Economics, Law, or similar disciplines.
  • Experience in the development and application of data governance practices and policies.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and experience working with complex data.
