Fleet Operations Manager

  • Initiate Tracking Procedures: Develop and implement procedures to track all transportation missions, driver performance, and maintenance activities to ensure accountability and transparency.

  • Manage Fleet Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance schedule for all fleet vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition and reduce downtime.

  • Optimize Routes and Schedules: Utilize data analysis to optimize transportation routes and schedules to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities comply with government regulations and industry standards.

  • Prepare Reports: Prepare regular reports on fleet operations, key performance indicators, and other metrics to inform management decisions.

  • Enhance Safety Protocols: Develop and enforce safety protocols for all transportation activities, prioritizing the safety of personnel and the condition of transported goods.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid US Secret or Australian NV-1 clearance.

  • Must have a minimum of five years of fleet management experience, transportation, or logistics roles with increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing and leading a team, including overseeing personnel and operational management.

  • Fleet Management Certification: Certifications such as Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or Certified Fleet Management Operation (CFMO) are highly beneficial.

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or Australian Equivalent: Having a CDL can be beneficial for better understanding of the operational aspects of fleet management.

  • HAZMAT Endorsement

  • Operational and Strategic Planning Skills: Ability to develop strategic plans for fleet operations, including asset management, route optimization, and resource allocation.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data related to fleet operations and make informed decisions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues that may arise in fleet operations, maintenance scheduling, or personnel management.
