About the Role
This is a customer-facing Desktop Support Analyst role requiring intermediate IT skills.
The position supports daily operations, focusing on Windows desktop and application support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing operational support for desktops and applications.
- Contributing to problem resolution by working collaboratively with peers.
- Resolving requests using the ticket system within agreed timeframes and documenting all tickets correctly.
- Conducting queue management activities, including auditing Incident and Service Request queues daily, and monitoring RITC and RITM trends.
- Performing proactive maintenance and administration of designated services, including implementation, configuration, and monitoring.
- Deploying software updates and security patches to workstations.
- Collaborating with IT service teams and Procurement on lifecycle management to ensure effective use of local IT assets.
- Ensuring safe, secure, and effective disposal of Stantec computing devices.
- Installing user-related software upon receiving approved Service Requests.
- Participating in cross-training and mentoring with service delivery teams.
- Supporting IT projects as an operational resource performing tasks as required.
- Contributing to the development of operational procedures and documentation.
- Collaborating with a global workforce.
- Able to work after office hours as required.
- Able to travel across offices from time to time.
Adhering to corporate policies, procedures, and best practices pertinent to supporting Infrastructure.
Completing work in line with the Health and Safety program.
Skills & SpecificationsTertiary qualification in Information Technology (or equivalent) is preferred but not required.
Some experience working in an IT environment is necessary.
Travel will be required, must have a valid driver's license.
Permanent Residency visa holders or Australian Citizens only.
- Self-starter - The ability to work independently.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills.
