About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and confident leader to join our Foster and Kinship team as a Fostering Team Leader. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Mount Isa, with a competitive remuneration package and excellent employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the quality of care being provided to children and young people living in family-based placements.
  • Manage the provision of support to foster and kinship carers.
  • Oversee the initial and ongoing assessment, planning, delivery, and review of strategies that address children and young people's care and developmental needs across all life domains.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or similar discipline.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience, including in a leadership position.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of child protection legislation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
