Fostering Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and confident leader to join our Foster and Kinship team and continue to help shape the bright future of our service.

About the Role

The Fostering Team Leader will be responsible for supervising a team of Case Workers and Support Workers who provide direct support to Foster and Kinship carers in various towns of Northwest QLD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the quality of care being provided to children and young people living in family-based placements.
  • Manage the provision of support to foster and kinship carers.
  • Oversee the initial and ongoing assessment, planning, delivery, and review of strategies that address children and young people's care and developmental needs across all life domains.
Requirements

To be suitable for this position, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a similar discipline.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience, including in a leadership position.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of child protection legislation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
