Job Title: Finance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in providing financial support and advice to our business areas.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate requests and process invoices and credit cards
  • Analyse financial data to provide strategic advice
  • Prepare high-quality financial reports with supporting working papers
  • Provide financial analysis and management advice to business areas
  • Process end-of-month and end-of-year journals, reviewing financial information for accurate treatment of costs
  • Oversee efficient delivery of financial services, including accounts payable and receivables, travel, and credit card services
  • Provide strategic financial advice to internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate with other business areas to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Fundamental Skills:
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and deliver high-quality advice to stakeholders
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the Australian Government financial framework, principles, policies, and practices
  • Accounting or relevant degree or qualifications
  • Professional memberships such as CPA or CA
  • Experience in government financial processes, financial software, administrative tasks, or contract management
