As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end client engagements across a diverse portfolio. You will deliver high-quality compliance and advisory outcomes, support and review junior staff, and work closely with partners on more complex matters.
- Prepare financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Manage client assignments from planning through to completion.
- Advise on advanced tax matters, including division 7A, capital gains tax (with small business concessions), trust streaming, and loss utilisation.
- Provide tailored tax planning strategies for small to medium-sized enterprises and investment groups.
- Liaise directly with clients, the Australian Taxation Office, and regulators.
- Review the work of junior or intermediate staff and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date tax knowledge while meeting productivity and billing key performance indicators.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognised accounting qualification, such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).
- A minimum of four years' experience in Australian public practice.
- Strong technical expertise across multiple entity types and industries.
- The ability to deliver accurate, client-ready work with minimal revisions.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Ambition to progress into leadership roles.
