Job Title: Intake and Referral Specialist

About the Role:

This is a rewarding opportunity to join our team as an Intake and Referral Specialist. As part of our counselling framework, you will assist in providing high-quality intake, screening, and referral services.

Your key responsibilities will include managing incoming client referrals, assessing eligibility and suitability, completing initial needs assessments and risk assessments, and referring clients to internal and external programs.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or related field from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation, including Domestic and Family Violence Act, Child Protection Act, and Family Law Act.
  • Ability to articulate a well-developed practice framework for domestic and family violence and its nexus with child safety and mental health.
Essential Skills:
  • Crisis intervention and risk assessment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
