Financial Services Regulatory Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Financial Services Regulatory Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Advisory group, you will play a critical role in advising leading ASX-listed companies, financial institutions, funds, and regulators on their most strategic and sensitive corporate, governance, and regulatory matters.

In this role, you will gain exposure to a broad spectrum of financial services regulatory work, including licensing and conduct obligations, credit & consumer protection, regulatory reform, corporate transactions, and innovation and digital finance.

  • Licensing and Conduct Obligations: Our team advises clients on AFSL/ACL licensing and Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act, DDO, breach reporting, claims/complaints handling, and unfair contract terms.
  • Credit & Consumer Protection: We advise on consumer credit laws and obligations, including responsible lending, hardship, disclosure, and remediation.
  • Regulatory Reform: Our experts review regulatory change programs and assess post-implementation outcomes, including payments law reform, privacy, AML/CTF, and whistleblower regimes.
  • Corporate Transactions: You will provide regulatory insight in corporate M&A and fundraising contexts, particularly for financial services.
  • Innovation and Digital Finance: Our team advises fintechs and other innovative businesses on product design, distribution, and compliance strategies.
