Job Description

As a Work and Study Vocational Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting young people with mental health difficulties achieve sustainable participation in vocational education and employment.

The role involves providing individualized support to young people aged 12-25 years, focusing on career development, vocational assistance, and employment strategies. You will work collaboratively with our clinical team to ensure young people receive holistic support, addressing their mental health needs while fostering their employability skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Tertiary level education in a relevant human services discipline (e.g., social work, psychology)
  • Proven knowledge and experience in vocational planning, employment lead creation, and mental health support
  • Strong understanding of young people's mental health needs and the importance of supportive employment practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people, families, and community stakeholders
  • Well-developed computer, technology, and administration skills, with proficiency in relevant software applications
  • Current driver's license and eligibility for Blue Card clearance
  • NDIS worker screening clearance (or willingness to obtain)
