Court Support Practitioner
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide high-quality services including crisis intervention, court support, DVO assistance, safety planning, counseling, intake support, and community education and awareness within the framework of our mission, values, and vision.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients in understanding Court processes, providing support within the Court room including interpretation of legal wording.
- Conduct risk assessments and make appropriate referrals to specialist support services as required.
- Work closely with all Court stakeholders to ensure client safety.
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or related field from a recognized institution.
- Well-developed understanding of Domestic and Family Violence Act, Child Protection Act, and Family Law Act.
- Ability to demonstrate a practice framework for domestic and family violence and implications on families engaged in these systems.
- Experience in intake, risk assessment, case management, and referral pathways, crisis intervention, and Domestic Violence Order assistance.
- Excellent written work and communication skills.
