Troocoo Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia seeks a dedicated wellbeing advocate to support veterans and their families through veteran-centred programmes. You will play a key role in delivering wellbeing services, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to improve the quality of life for vulnerable veterans.

">Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop Client Support Plans: Implement client support plans using a veteran-centred approach.
  2. Case Management: Manage veterans within programmes like Veteran Homelessness and Emergency Relief Funds.
  3. Visits and Assessments: Conduct home and hospital visits to ensure veterans receive essential wellbeing services.
  4. Stakeholder Relationships: Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including The Salvation Army and DVA.
  5. Client Progress Monitoring: Monitor client progress and escalate complex issues to the Senior Wellbeing Officer when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Required Qualifications: Degree in Humanities/Arts (Social Welfare), Health Sciences, Social Science, or related field, with 3-5 years' relevant experience.
  2. Strength-based Case Management: Extensive knowledge and experience in Strength-based Case Management.
  3. Sensitivity and Empathy: Empathy and experience in working in sensitive environments.
  4. ADF and Veteran Community Knowledge: Understanding of ADF and veteran community needs (desirable).
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
