Join our volunteer program and make a positive impact on the lives of older people in your community.


This rewarding experience allows you to spend time with an elderly client living at home, engaging in weekly or fortnightly chats (30 minutes). Enjoy a walk around the garden, play a game of cards, or simply chat together over a cuppa during your visits.


As a meaningful connections volunteer, you will be part of a team that improves quality of life and reduces feelings of loneliness among seniors. Regular visits from volunteers like you can bring joy and companionship to those who need it most.


Requirements:


  • 18 years or older
  • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

We would be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30-minute to one-hour visit between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
