A career opportunity has arisen for an Insurance Recovery Specialist to join our Sydney-based team in a permanent, full-time position.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparing applications for recoveries from government medical indemnity insurance schemes through Services Australia.
  • Quarterly analysis of reports to determine reinsurance recoveries.
  • Quarterly analysis of AIL bordereau to identify matters requiring reporting to external reinsurers.
  • Preparation of Claims Transaction Reports.
  • Quality assurance check for all information received from the Claims Department.
  • Managing and monitoring unclaimed recoveries.
  • Maintaining records and responding to s38 queries.
  • Providing timely and thorough responses to requests for information, adhering to Services Australia deadlines.
  • Managing the process of receipt recoveries.

To excel in this role, you will have:

  • Medico-legal secretarial experience or knowledge of medical and legal terminology.
  • Personal injury claims management experience.
  • Bookkeeping/accounting experience.
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
