Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled trade-qualified fitter to join our team in Port Hedland. As a fixed plant mechanical technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our operations.

You will be responsible for carrying out inspections across online plant areas, identifying and repairing defects, and supporting dust suppression systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out regular inspections of online plant areas, including conveyors, train unloaders, balance machines, and sample stations
  • Identify and report defects or issues, and implement repairs as necessary
  • Support the operation and maintenance of dust suppression systems
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of risk assessments and safety procedures
Requirements
  • Trade qualification in fitting or a related field
  • Experience in fixed plant maintenance, preferably in a conveyor-related role
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Confidence in using SAP, Microsoft Project, and maintenance systems
