We are committed to the ecologically sound and sustainable use of resources and strive to operate in a manner that minimises waste and protects the environment.Responsibilities will include:Major / minor repairs of fixed and mobile plant and equipmentProvide assistance with plant and equipment breakdownsProvide assistance with minor welding on plant and equipmentParticipate inpreventative and predictive maintenance programs for all plant and equipmentWork in accordance with a daily plan for routine maintenance and complete relevant maintenance recordsParticipate in various continuous improvement and other programs as requiredEnsure all work is completed in accordance with our site safety, environmental and quality proceduresTo be successful, you will have:Trade qualifications as a Fitter and/or Boilermaker with experience in Conveyors, Motors and GearboxesForklift Tickets an added advantage, but willing to trainAbility & willingness to pass a medical in line with the requirements of the roleExperience in a similar position within a similar industryGood communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or in a team environmentDisplay flexibility with operations and maintenanceA career with Sims provides you with the opportunity to work with an organisation whose goal is to be the world's safest and most responsible recycling company.
