Overview of the Position
- This is a part-time opportunity based in Parramatta CBD.
- Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality individual, youth and family therapy to repair and strengthen family relationships and individual self-determination.
Collaborate with other Uniting Counselling staff using a multi-disciplinary approach to provide family therapy.
Provide child consultation as part of child inclusive practice to families after separation and divorce including involuntary and court-ordered clients.
Support the development facilitation and promotion of clinical group work programs within the centre and with external stakeholders such as community services and schools.
Network with relevant agencies under the direction of the Centre Manager/Coordinator to facilitate effective and high-quality services to clients including supporting the development and implementation of specific case management models.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in psychology social work or other equivalent relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years experience delivering individual youth family and couples therapy and/or experience in facilitating group programs.
- Able to manage high conflict individuals youth and families with complex issues.
- Competence in working with issues of family violence.
- Understanding of child protection issues.
- Excellent communication organisation and report writing skills.
- Able to work independently and contribute to the smooth functioning of a team.
- Ability to meet program-specific client targets.
