At a time when businesses are facing increasing pressure to be sustainable, the role of an ESG Strategy and Reporting Lead is critical. This position will play a key part in shaping the future of our organisation's sustainability landscape.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving ESG performance, governance, and sustainability initiatives in medium to large corporate organisations. They will possess strong quantitative skills for assessing and quantifying ESG metrics, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex ESG information to diverse stakeholders.

We are seeking a professional who can establish and enhance systems to monitor and improve ESG metrics, proactively implementing corrective measures. The ideal candidate will also support the development of our sustainability strategy, ensuring ESG targets are integrated into Corporate and Business Development proposals.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely ESG data reporting for regulatory deadlines, maintaining quality through validation processes. You will also contribute to an annual Australia ESG report, fostering effective communication and alignment with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and enhancing ESG performance metrics
  • Supporting the development of our sustainability strategy
  • Ensuring accurate and timely ESG data reporting
  • Contributing to an annual Australia ESG report

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as sustainability, environmental science, or another related discipline including, but not limited to, finance/economic, social sciences or public policy
  • Relevant proven experience in a regulated sector (e.g., energy, finance) with a deep understanding of sector-specific ESG risks & challenges
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including the ability to identify trends, assess risks, and derive insights from ESG data
  • Demonstrated ability in driving ESG performance, governance, and sustainability initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
