Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SMSF Advisory Lead to join our SMSF Specialist Team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in superannuation and taxation rules, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the workflow of a specific SMSF portfolio, ensuring exceptional outcomes and quality of work. You will also provide technical advice to clients, develop your expertise across services, and contribute to internal training and client events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and review compliance work files, reporting deliverables, and audit outcomes for each fund within your portfolio.
  • Proactively liaise with clients, external auditors, ATO, and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality work and exceptional outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in superannuation and taxation rules, with a focus on SMSFs.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, promoting their professional development and growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:
  • Prior experience in SMSF advisory or a related field, preferably in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.
  • CA or CPA qualification is highly regarded.
  • Strong collaborative skills, excellent communication skills, and a dedicated work ethic.
  • Class Super experience is desired, but not essential.
