Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Macadamia Orchard Manager to lead our portfolio of macadamia orchards in the thriving Bundaberg region.

The successful candidate will oversee both newly developed and established orchards, as well as a state-of-the-art de-husking facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact on the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate orchard supervisors and implement operational programs.
  • Lead and develop teams to ensure safe, high-quality orchard work.
  • Maintain accurate records, analyze data, and prepare detailed management reports.
  • Address operational issues and manage budget variances effectively.
  • Contribute to operational planning and oversee contractor engagement.
  • Review forecasts monthly with accounts and management.
  • Develop nutrition plans in collaboration with Agronomists and supervisors.
  • Oversee pest and disease control to maximize orchard production.
  • Monitor tree health and yield for optimal performance.
  • Promote accurate and safe work practices while reinforcing company policies.
  • Identify training needs and manage team performance effectively.
Requirements
  • Expertise in macadamia orchard operations, including irrigation, fertigation, pest management, and harvesting.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, expenditure management, and forecasting.
  • Strong communication and team management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Tertiary qualifications in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field.

Experience in a corporate agricultural environment and formal safety training are highly regarded but not essential.
