We are a leading event styling company in Far North Queensland, specializing in high-end corporate events and bespoke weddings. Our team transforms venues with unique furniture, décor, and creative floristry.
The Role:
Type: Full-time
Salary: AUD $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience
We are seeking a full-time Event Planner with at least 5 years of experience in event planning, including a minimum of 2 years in the Australian events sector. A Diploma in Event Management or a similar qualification is required. You should also have strong knowledge of local hotels, venues, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage corporate and wedding events from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional client satisfaction.
- Develop and present tailored event proposals, showcasing your creativity and attention to detail.
- Oversee event logistics, including setup and teardown, to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Manage budgets and timelines effectively, ensuring projects are completed within scope and on schedule.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and venues, negotiating services and rates to meet client needs.
- Utilize CRM systems for client management and project tracking, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in event planning, with a minimum of 2 years in the Australian events sector.
- Diploma in Event Management or a similar qualification.
- Familiarity with the local market, venues, and suppliers.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Experience with CRM systems required; knowledge of Dubsado is a bonus.
- Familiarity with design software and social media platforms is advantageous.
- Strong administrative and coordination skills with a proven ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proven ability to address and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver's license required; experience driving and ability to drive a small truck if needed.
- Full working rights in Australia.
