About the Role

Alltype Engineering, a leading multidisciplinary engineering company, is seeking an experienced Project HSE Advisor to join our team at the Mondarra Gas Storage Facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for our team members and stakeholders. This will involve:

  • Site Setup and Management: Establishing and maintaining a safe site environment in accordance with our safety management plan, site facility plan, and traffic management plan.
  • Pre-Start Meetings and Daily Briefings: Facilitating pre-start meetings and conducting daily briefings to ensure all team members are aware of the day's tasks and potential hazards.
  • Health and Safety Inspections: Conducting weekly safety inspections with the site supervisor and client representative to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Toolbox Meetings and Minutes: Coordinating weekly toolbox meetings and ensuring accurate minutes are recorded.
  • Health and Safety Training: Delivering a health and safety topic to the site team on a weekly basis.
  • Job Hazard Analysis (JHA): Assisting the site supervisor and workforce in developing JHAs for each task.
  • Inductions and Record Keeping: Conducting inductions as per the site-specific induction checklist and recording induction details on the full induction register.
  • Safety Statistics and Reporting: Using the HSE Statistics Workbook to record safety information pertinent to the project.
  • Audits and Compliance: Assisting the site supervisor and manager in preparing for internal, client, and regulator audits.
  • First Aid, PPE, and Safety Supplies: Ensuring first aid, PPE, and safety supplies are available and accessible to team members.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience working on site-based heavy industrial projects.
  • Cert IV in Health and Safety and Cert IV Training and Assessing.
  • White Card and WA Drivers Licence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior management and trade personnel.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a hands-on and proactive approach to your role.
