About the Role

PHE Pty is seeking a highly motivated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team as a key member of our operations team. This role will be based at a remote mine site in the Northern Territory and will involve working on a 2:1 roster.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a culture of safety and quality on site, and maintain compliance with management systems.
  • Conduct regular training needs analysis and manage internal audit programs in consultation with the management team.
  • Prepare reports, record data, and collect evidence of the site's compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Manage workers' compensation matters, including rehabilitation, case management, and return to work programs.
  • Conduct random drug and alcohol testing on site.
  • Identify health, safety, and environmental non-conformances, conduct investigations, and develop solutions for implementation.
About You
  • You will have a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or a minimum of a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Training and Assessment (TAE).
  • You will have internal auditing training and a sound working knowledge and understanding of WHS and environmental legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
  • You will have a drug and alcohol testing qualification or be able to obtain one.
  • You will have a return to work coordination qualification.
  • You will have previous experience in a HSE advisor position working on industrial electrical construction projects.
  • You will have sound Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • You will have strong safety leadership skills and be highly organized with impeccable attention to detail.
