Circular Plastics Australia is a leading innovator in sustainable plastics recycling, committed to reducing plastic waste and promoting a circular economy.

The Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability (HSES) Advisor will provide oversight and drive consistent implementation of the HSES systems across the site, ensuring the organisation meets its legal and ethical obligations to provide a safe and environmentally conscious workplace.

• Conduct system audits to ensure consistent implementation and application of the Group system, and support Sites with completion of subsequent action plans.
• Provide a connection between the Site, Divisional and Group level activities, championing and monitoring implementation of the Group HSES System.
• Identify common health, safety and environmental hazards inherent at the site and establish plans for the control of hazards.
• Provide oversight of critical health, safety and environmental incidents and support the Site with incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action closure.
• Monitor and drive activities with external regulatory bodies, such as WorkSafe and EPA.
• Lead Site activities to achieve defined HSES objectives and targets.
• Mentor the team to continually improve the safety culture.

• Five years' experience in a Safety and Environmental Advisor position.
• Previous experience of implementing, monitoring and auditing Safety or Environmental Management Systems.
• Previous experience leading Site activities to achieve defined HSES objectives and targets.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation, Codes of Practice, Standards, and associated obligations.
• Strong skills in hazard identification, risk management and incident investigation.
• Clear communication with all key stakeholders around risk management.

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety or Environmental field or a similar tertiary qualification.
