Gender Equity Specialist

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in improving gender equity and preventing family violence.

We are seeking a Gender Equity Specialist to strategically plan and implement a whole of council approach towards gender equality and primary prevention initiatives.

The successful candidate will drive gender equity and inclusion strategies, programs and practices that promote a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce.

Promote positive attitudes, behaviour and culture change at the workplace to prevent family violence and all forms of violence against women.

Strategically increase internal and community awareness and understanding of the drivers of family violence and all forms of violence against women, including prevention strategies.

Implement and test family violence prevention tools and guides and embed a whole-of-organisation approach to preventing family violence and all forms of violence against women.
