About the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation
More than just a football club, the Western Bulldogs has a long-standing history as the community club of the AFL. The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation is the club's community arm that utilises the trusted brand of our football club to deliver life changing programs. At its core, the Foundation delivers demonstrated impact in the areas of health and wellbeing, youth leadership, cultural diversity, social inclusion, and community advocacy. Across Melbourne and Victoria's west, we reach over 20,000 community members each year including direct capacity building for over 4,000 participants in our targeted programs. Your contribution to the team includes
The role of Regional Program Officer provides support with the coordination and facilitation of the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation Leaders of the Pack programs in Yarriambiack, West Wimmera, and Horsham, along with liaising with the community to maintain strong connections. This role is also responsible for:
- WB Community Foundation Program Support
- WB Community Foundation Program Support: Community Engagement and Wellbeing
High level responsibility
- Facilitating the local promotion and registration of WBCF Leaders of the Pack Program in all three areas
- Building relationships with Program Delivery Partners, schools, students, volunteers, and other key organisations
- Providing ongoing support, encouragement, and guidance to program participants and volunteers
- Identifying and assisting to mitigate risks to participants and the program
- Engagement with local sporting clubs in regional Victoria areas
- Helping deliver WBCF events such as game day events, key program graduations, Youth Expo event, and other promotion and participant engagement events, activities, and activations
- Ensuring all rural programs are inclusive and welcoming of diversity
- Part Time 0.8, Max-Term Contract for 18 months
Skills and experience
- Preferable but not required: Bachelor of Youth Work, Social Work, community development, psychology related fields. Strong connection to the Horsham, West Wimmera, and/or Yarriambiack community in Victoria
- Organised and efficient administration skills and time management
- Workshop facilitation skills
- We are seeking someone to work in the local Horsham community with a connect day once a month in Footscray, Melbourne
