Job Title: Facilities Operations Manager

This is a key role within our team, responsible for delivering top-tier facilities management to a national retail landlord with centres across Australia.

  • Conduct weekly presentation inspections for all shopping center assets.
  • Conduct monthly property inspections for all shopping center assets.
  • Be the primary contact for technical and maintenance advice across a portfolio of retail centers.
  • Procure services to ensure all technical, risk, and statutory requirements are satisfied.
  • Manage essential services, including air conditioning, lifts, and fire safety.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants, and tenant representatives.
  • Ensure timely delivery of compliance, risk, and sustainability targets and KPIs.
  • Ensure optimal operation of buildings to design.
  • Detailed monitoring and management of energy and water consumption.
  • Independently manage smaller-scale capital expenditure improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A minimum of 2 years of commercial/retail experience in the facilities industry.
  • Significant work experience and demonstrated success in a similar role or related industry.
  • Effective communication skills – written communications should be succinct.
  • The ability to analyze and resolve basic issues.
  • Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to work.
  • A proven track record of contract and contractor management.
  • A valid driver's license and own reliable form of transport.
