About the Role

  • The First Nations Strategy Lead will be responsible for developing and delivering WorkCover's First Nations Strategy, working in partnership with other business areas to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Key initiatives include identifying and scoping projects, building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and advising on HR strategies impacting the First Nations workforce.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills are crucial in this role, as well as a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A background in human resources, organisational psychology, learning and development, or other behavioural sciences fields would be highly regarded.
  • Excellent research analysis and report writing capabilities are essential, along with strong stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Ability to leverage lived experiences to guide cultural capability development and programme delivery.
