About the Role

As a Risk Advisory/Senior Risk Advisory Consultant, you will collaborate with Partners and Senior Management to handle internal audits, organisational reviews, and deliver expert advice to clients, particularly the NSW State Government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a range of internal audits, organisational risk assurance, and process improvement projects.
  • Prepare reports and collaborate closely with clients.
  • Provide advice on enhancements to policies, procedures, processes, systems, and controls.
  • Engage in business development activities including attending events and networking.
  • Develop roadmaps and statements of work for live projects.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to support organising workload schedules across the team.
  • Guide the junior staff through providing training and mentorship.
  • Build strong client relationships to pursue future partnership ventures.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary education ideally in accounting or business-related degree.
  • Solid background in basic internal audit and risk management practices and standards.
  • Expertise in conducting internal audits of core financial processes and controls.
  • Experience in performing risk assessments and reviewing risk management frameworks.
  • Proven track record collaborating with public sector, government and/or not-for-profit clients.
  • Adept in ERM systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamix, Oracle, Netsuite etc.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships.
