The Risk Advisory Services team provides a range of risk solutions to clients navigating challenges, changes, and opportunities. Our services include:

  • Internal Audit
  • Outsourced Risk Management tasks;
  • Processes Mapping and Control Remediation
  • Risk Workshops
  • Risk Consulting
  • Third Party Assurance

We focus on two key sectors: Public Sector and Financial Services. This role is part of our Public Sector Team in Sydney, working from our CBD and Greater Western Sydney Offices.

Senior Manager Opportunity

Due to rapid growth, we seek a Senior Manager to join our Internal Audit team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will work with NSW State Government Organisations across various clusters, as well as Local and Federal Government Organisations, Not-For-Profits, and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in building and mentoring a team of highly skilled internal audit and risk staff.
  2. Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors, focusing on risk, controls, and assurance.
  3. Supervise and undertake fieldwork, preparing high-quality written reports or deliverables within budget and timeline constraints.
  4. Apply the firm's professional delivery standards to deliver insightful advice and exceptional client service.
  5. Develop new business solutions and drive continuous improvement of current practice processes, tools, and methodologies.
  6. Couch and mentor junior members of the team.
  7. Drive growth initiatives and business development while collaborating with Partners and Directors.
Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong experience in Risk Advisory. Key qualifications include:

  • A strong internal drive and growth mindset, with aspirations for leadership opportunities.
  • High-level experience in a similar role within the professional services industry.
  • Certifications or qualifications relevant to the role (CIA, CA, CPA, CISA, PRINCE2, etc.).
  • Experience with IIA Standards and Practices.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TechOne, etc.).
  • Ability to develop strategic and annual internal audit plans, enterprise-wide risk assessments, and framework reviews.
  • Natural business development aptitude with an existing network of decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, work in a multi-disciplinary team, manage engagements, and deliver results.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team development and management.
  • Strong working knowledge of key business risks and understanding of IT-related risks.
  • Significant experience in presenting to Senior Management, Boards, and ARCs.
