Job Title: Specialist Clinician

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Clinician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide clinical support services to rural and remote healthcare facilities, ensuring equity of access to emergency care for all rural Hospital and Health Service Emergency Departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a multidisciplinary clinical service model providing 24/7 clinical support services using videoconferencing platforms and IT systems.
  • Provide emergency telehealth clinical services, improving the quality of care and support to patients and clinicians in regional, rural, and remote areas.
  • Assist in delivering education and information initiatives and programs to Healthcare Services, clinical networks, and health groups.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in emergency medicine with specific exposure to regional, rural, and remote settings.
  • Previous experience in rural and remote emergency telehealth clinician support is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Pre-Hospital and Retrieval Medicine or RSQ Medical Coordination would be beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to establish effective working relationships with clinicians, partners, stakeholders, and work groups.
