Job Opportunity

The Legal Advisor role is a hands-on position that requires collaboration with various teams to provide practical legal guidance. This opportunity will involve shaping the delivery of legal services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clear, pragmatic advice on commercial law, contract negotiation, intellectual property, and risk management.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate agreements with customers and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of legal templates, tools, and precedents.
  • Contribute to the development of the legal risk framework and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the General Counsel in managing external legal providers and ensuring value for money.
  • Assist with the management of the IP portfolio, including trademarks and licensing agreements.
  • Collaborate effectively with teams, promoting early engagement with legal and building trusted relationships.

Requirements
  • A qualified legal practitioner with an unrestricted practicing certificate (or eligible in ACT).
  • Minimum 5 years post-admission experience, preferably in both private practice and in-house.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial law, contract negotiation, and risk management.
