As a Senior Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth and advancement by leading and empowering team members to strengthen strategic customer relationships.

The core duties of this leadership position revolve around coordinating team efforts, utilizing available resources to develop and implement operational plans aligned with customer expectations and timelines.

This role requires a mix of strategic insight, sales expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a comprehensive grasp of the resources industry, especially in commercial operations and the vital interplay between an OEM and key clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Develop and implement effective contract management strategies to ensure compliance with company policies and customer expectations.
  • Contract Negotiation: Utilize negotiation skills to secure favorable contract terms and conditions that align with business objectives.
  • Drafting and Review: Prepare and review contracts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Relationship: Foster strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences, driving business growth and advancement.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in contract management and negotiations.
  • Contract Amendments: Manage contract amendments and modifications to reflect changes in customer needs and business objectives.
  • Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of contract management processes.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on contract performance to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contract management and negotiations.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reporting on contract status, performance, and compliance to stakeholders.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to inform contract management strategies and drive business growth.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Contribute to sales and revenue growth by identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and advancement.

About You

  • Recent relevant experience as a Contract Manager or in a similar role in business development of industrial equipment based upon strategic relationships.
  • Good knowledge of commercial negotiations and dealings, including contract laws, regulations, or best practices.
  • Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Previous experience leading people (F2F and remote).
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
  • A customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering outstanding service.
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain processes and principles.
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend basic financial data.
  • Working knowledge of the resources sector and large industrial clientele.
