St Hilda's School is one of Australia's leading Pre-Prep to Year 12 Anglican Day and Boarding Schools for girls.

The School has a long history of outstanding academic achievement and is committed to excellence in the education of girls and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support the Director of Business & Operations in delivering effective leadership and management of the School's non-academic operations.

The successful applicant will provide management oversight of operational business service teams and other aspects of the School's business operations including General Services, Grounds & Maintenance, Cleaning, Capital infrastructure projects, Events and Community, and Operations vendor management.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • General Services: provision of essential services such as cleaning, maintenance, and facilities management.
  • Grounds & Maintenance: upkeep and maintenance of school grounds and properties.
  • Cleaning: ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for students and staff.
  • Capital infrastructure projects: planning and managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Events and Community: coordinating events and activities that promote community engagement.
  • Operations vendor management: managing relationships with external vendors and contractors.

Depending on the candidate's experience, the portfolio may also include Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Administration and Reception, or other areas as requested.

Key Requirements include:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in business, operations, facilities management or a related field.
  • Experience in a school, not-for-profit, or complex multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Current certifications such as Paid Blue Card, CPR/First Aid Qualification, and willingness to submit name to the Anglican Church's Professional Standards Register.
