Facilities Management Role

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Facilities Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and oversee school facilities and grounds, including access permits, keys, alarms, servicing, cleaning, maintenance, and minor works.
  • Undertake and/or organize scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair requests, assigning and prioritizing tasks and arranging for external contractors as required.
  • Conduct and/or organize safety and security inspections across the site in accordance with the Facility Management Plan and make recommendations.
  • Plan and execute activities for the annual maintenance schedule, including pest control, carpet cleaning, and electrical checks.
  • Administer systems, registers, processes, and procedures to manage transactions related to facilities management and reporting, including Work Area Access Permits (WAAP), WH&S incidents, and oversee administration.
  • Be responsible for the use and storage of the school's resources, including equipment and chemicals, and undertake regular stocktake in accordance with the Facility Management Plan.
  • Liaise with the Business Manager and other officers for the coordination of the school's calendar of events and use of the school's facilities.
  • Contribute to the school's Facility Management Plan by reporting on facility management activities, issues, and best practices.
