Job Overview
As an assistant facilities manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our leisure centre. Your exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail will make a significant difference in creating a safe and engaging environment for our members and guests.
- Deliver Exceptional Front-Line Customer Service: Engage with members and guests, responding to enquiries and membership administration with a smile.
- Assist in Daily Facility Operations: Support our team in managing bookings, class setup, and resident events, ensuring seamless transitions and timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Keep track of memberships, payments, and community engagement with precision and accuracy.
- Ensure Workplace Safety: Maintain compliance with health and safety policies, reporting incidents as required and taking proactive steps to prevent accidents.
- Support Facility Management: Collaborate with the manager to coordinate contractors, service providers, and maintenance schedules, ensuring that all aspects of facility operations run smoothly.
- Promote Centre Activities: Share information about our programs and activities with the community, encouraging participation and fostering a sense of belonging.

- Customer Service Expertise: Deliver exceptional experiences through effective communication, active listening, and empathy.
- Administrative Excellence: Manage administrative tasks with precision and attention to detail, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.
- Technical Proficiency: Stay up-to-date with Microsoft 365 and booking/payment systems, leveraging your knowledge to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Teamwork and Flexibility: Work collaboratively with the team, being adaptable and flexible to meet changing needs and priorities.
- Knowledge and Qualifications: Possess relevant qualifications and experience in administration, customer service, or facility operations (community or leisure centre experience desirable).
- Compliance and Certification: Hold current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) and a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) desirable.
