Overnight Porter Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Overnight Porter to join our team. As the world's largest family of luxury hotels, we take great pride in being ambassadors of our brand.

  • Greet late-arriving guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.
  • Provide valet parking service for arriving and departing guests, efficiently managing their vehicles and luggage.
  • Assist guests with luggage, deliveries, or room transfers, demonstrating a proactive approach to meeting their needs.
  • Support Night Audit and Front Office teams with guest requests and coordination, maintaining seamless communication and cooperation.
  • Monitor the front drive and lobby area for cleanliness and guest needs, ensuring a high standard of maintenance.
  • Conduct property walkthroughs and assist with security checks during overnight hours, guaranteeing the safety and security of our guests and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure a smooth guest journey, fostering strong relationships and collaborative working practices.

Key Requirements:

  • Prior experience in valet, bell service, or front office roles in a luxury hotel environment.
  • A valid open driver's license, enabling you to operate our vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Impeccable grooming and a polished, professional demeanor, reflecting the values and standards of our brand.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills, allowing you to build strong relationships with our guests and colleagues.
  • The ability to lift heavy luggage and stand/walk for long periods, demonstrating physical stamina and resilience.
  • A proactive attitude and ability to remain composed and courteous overnight, showcasing your commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Availability to work overnight across a 7 day roster, embracing flexibility and adaptability in your work schedule.
