Senior HR Manager Job Description

The Senior HR Manager will oversee the full employee lifecycle, ensuring best-practice human resources management. This includes recruitment and onboarding, performance management, development, and employee engagement.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the full employment cycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance, development, and off-boarding
  • Provide HR advice and coaching to leaders and staff across employment and grievance matters
  • Partner with our Safety team to support wellbeing initiatives and a strong safety culture
  • Oversee Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and assist with payroll functions relating to onboarding/off-boarding and awards/agreements
  • Identify training needs, track completion, and manage our scholarship program
  • Administer performance management systems and HRIS
  • Manage general office functions such as procurement, phone/IT contracts, and onboarding resources
Requirements:
  • Proven experience leading HR independently in both blue- and white-collar environments, including exposure to industrial instruments
  • Strong generalist HR skills with the ability to advise, coach, and influence at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, business, or a related field (or extensive industry experience)
