Job Title: Event Planner

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Event Planner to coordinate and manage all aspects of events, ensuring exceptional customer service and seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Operations:
    • Problem solve and provide alternative solutions when necessary.
    • Lead pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups.
    • Identify operational challenges and work with the team to resolve them.
    • Manage customer expectations and budgets to maximize revenue.
    • Oversee the entire customer experience from file turnover through post-event phase.
    • Conduct pre- and post-event meetings to review and communicate group needs and feedback.
    • Manage room blocks and meeting space for assigned groups.
    • Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Sales and Marketing Strategy:
    • Upsell products and services throughout the event process.
    • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with sales efforts.
    • Act as liaison between field sales person and customer throughout the event process.
  • Managing Profitability:
    • Manage revenue and profitability associated with events.
    • Forecast group sleeping rooms and event revenue.
    • Review billing and payments with clients.
  • Providing Exceptional Customer Service:
    • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
    • Handle guest problems and complaints.
    • Make presence known to customer at all times during the event process.
    • Follow up with customer post-event.
    • Strive to improve service performance.
    • Set a positive example for guest relations.
