Disability Support Worker Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality support to individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with complex care needs, including those with traumatic brain injuries and cognitive communication impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with daily health and rehabilitation exercises
  • Accompanying participants to community activities and medical appointments
  • Providing personal care duties, such as toileting and prompting
  • Assisting with meal preparation and domestic tasks
  • Performing daily skin checks
  • Hoisting and transferring participants

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with complex care needs, including traumatic brain injuries and cognitive communication impairments
  • Ability to motivate and engage participants who may feel demotivated
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification
  • Australian driver's license and motor vehicle
  • Current Working with Children's Check and National Police Clearance

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, providing high-quality support to individuals with disabilities.

  • Pressure injury management
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Driver's license and motor vehicle
