Job Title: Disability Support Worker

 

About the Role

This role is designed to support individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live an independent life. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality services to clients with complex physical needs.

The successful candidate will provide personal care, manual handling, bowel care, catheter care, and medication administration on a 2:1 basis. This role requires working a 24/7 roster, which includes day, night, active overnights, weekends, and public holidays.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing support to clients with high physical needs
  • Assisting with personal care, manual handling, bowel care, catheter care, and medication administration
  • Working collaboratively with the team to deliver quality services

 

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience as a Disability Support Worker, delivering services to clients with complex physical needs
  • Experience with complex bowel care, catheter care, and using a hoist for manual handling
  • Certificate III or IV in individual support, aged care, or disability, or an Allied Health qualification
  • Valid NDIS Worker Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid and CPR Certificate, Manual handling certificate, and Australian drivers licence
