Claims Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Claims Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing contact with third parties through a strategic process to confirm claim details, identify liability, and manage the recovery of uninsured claims.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To establish effective relationships with internal and external service providers to achieve cost-effective and quality claims handling.
  • To provide a personalized customer experience for at-fault TP's by educating, negotiating, and providing appropriate solutions for their circumstances.
  • To ensure the best possible recovery outcome occurs by proactively contacting our TP's customers to obtain critical information.
  • To maximize contact rates with TP's to ensure all recovery opportunities are managed to the fullest extent.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A sharp eye for detail.
  • Well-grounded negotiation and communication skills.
  • Able to deal effectively and confidently with conflict.
  • Effective time management capabilities.
  • Confidence in decision making.
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • No insurance experience required but previous debt collection, paralegal or insurance claims experience will be highly regarded.
