Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Deputy Head of Department. This role will play a key part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nutrition care to patients.

The ideal candidate will have extensive postgraduate clinical experience, excellent negotiation and decision-making skills, and the ability to manage and coordinate staff from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To assist the Manager of Nutrition and Dietetics in providing operational management and leadership for the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • To foster and encourage the delivery of Nutrition and Dietetic services consistent with the vision and strategic plan of SCHN.
  • To provide clinical governance of Nutrition and Dietetic services, through the support of both clinical food service and clinical supervision governance frameworks.
Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you will need:

  • Eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia
  • Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in a range of clinical areas
  • Ability to manage, coordinate and supervise staff from a diversity of professional and technical backgrounds
  • Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels
  • Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff
