Job Title: Clinical Nurse Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team at St George Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating care of acutely unwell patients with nutritional support issues.

About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Consultant role involves:

  • Nursing consultancy and support for Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)
  • Clinical consultancy for all enteral nutrition devices, including patient and carer education and outpatient management

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a dynamic environment. As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care, engage in research, data collection, and collaborate closely with Medical, Nursing and Allied health teams across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Providing expert nursing advice and support for TPN and other enteral nutrition devices
  2. Developing and implementing patient-centered care plans to meet the nutritional needs of acutely unwell patients
  3. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and advocate for patients' needs
  4. Conducting research and collecting data to improve patient outcomes and inform clinical practice

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
