Job Title: Breastfeeding Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert lactation support and guidance to women who are breastfeeding.
  • Work closely with midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to new mothers and their babies.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote and support breastfeeding in the community.
  • Conduct assessments and provide recommendations to help women overcome any challenges they may be experiencing with breastfeeding.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licence as a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Registered Midwife (RM).
  • Current International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification.
  • A post graduate qualification or currently enrolled in a post graduate program in a relevant area of study is highly desirable.
