This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled and dedicated professional to contribute to the health and wellbeing of North West communities.

We are seeking a highly qualified Lactation Consultant to join our Midwifery Service at Mount Isa Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting, promoting and supporting breastfeeding by educating women, families, health professionals and the community about lactation and artificially feeding newborns, infants and children.

The role provides a unique service that spans the health continuum, working in diverse locations with supportive communities and attractive regional, rural and remote incentives.

  • A generous isolation bonus of AUD$3,500 after 1 year, increasing to AUD$10,500 after 2 years, and AUD$7,000 annually thereafter.
  • 2 return airfares p.a. (inc. spouse/dependents) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with recreation leave.

In addition, we offer:

  • A base salary range of $107,960 - $115,604 p.a. (Nurse Grade 6 (Band 1)).
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
  • Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
