Family Health Care Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Health Care Specialist to join our team in regional NSW. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients and their families.
About the Role- Maintain and promote the optimal health and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 years and their families.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to ensure safe and effective outcomes.
- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality care outcomes that meet the needs of children and families.
- Implement the Family Partnership Model as the foundation for nurse-family relationships and supportive counseling.
- Develop and maintain screening and surveillance programs for infants and children using evidence-based tools.
- Provide opportunistic immunizations according to the NSW Childhood Immunization Schedule (0-5 years).
- Promote and support breastfeeding initiatives.
- Facilitate evidence-based groups to support child health, development, and parenting needs of families within the community.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care, cultural safety, and continuous professional development.
