Back of House Operations Coordinator

Overview: Lead a back of house (Commissionaires) team to ensure exceptional customer experiences, venue presentation, security, and operational support across City Venues' function spaces.

Job Description:

The Back of House Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in the success of our venues. This is a fixed-term, full-time position for 14 months, commencing soon. You will lead a team to ensure exceptional customer experiences, venue presentation, security, and operational support.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team in venue operations and delivery
  • Coordinate arrival and departure logistics, staffing, security, and training
  • Support event planning, readiness, and continuous improvement while balancing customer service with operational efficiency, compliance, and risk management
  • Ensure safety standards, including accessibility requirements, are upheld
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in venue operations or a similar operations coordination role
  • Ability to lead a team and work with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong focus on customer service, safety, and compliance
  • Commitment to inclusion and accessibility in events and venues
